Our Services

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapy team provides evaluations and treatment to children with a wide range of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, rheumatic, and congenital disorders. They also work with children with reduced attention, learning impairments, and/or sensory processing challenges. In the role of the pediatric occupational therapist, skeletal, neuromuscular, or cognitive limitations are analyzed and treated. It also supports patients to develop their communication and interaction skills, refine motor skills and educate them, particularly older children, into self-care skills.

The occupational therapy program for children with Kids Miracle Steps provides assessment and treatment services to children with daily difficulties. We design a wide range of child laboratory therapy programs tailored to the specific needs of your child. Our objective is always to restore the greatest possible function and independence.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy

The pediatric team of physical therapy evaluates children with various diagnoses, including but not limited to orthopedic, neurologic, rheumatic, and congenital disorders, and provides them with therapy and treatment. Our pediatric therapists use clinically proven treatment techniques that enhance gross and fine motor skills, develop core stability, and reduce extremity in children. Techniques of treatment involve developmental training, home training programs designed specifically for the individual patient, and the incorporation of state-of-the-art treatment and adaptive equipment.

Our physical therapy program, focusing on the development of the child as a whole and increasing the lifetime potential of a child, emphasizes the rehabilitation of the pediatric patient.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapy

Kids Miracle Steps offers respiratory therapists to children having asthma, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, congestion, cough, and wheezing problems. Our breathing therapists offer nebulizing therapy, CPT therapy and help keep the lungs clear of the mucosa that can "stretch" respiratory tracts. Our respiratory therapists can also provide oxygen to patients with tracheotomies, operate with respirators and BiPap equipment.

Our purpose is to help maintain comfortable breathing for our patients. We remember the words of the Lung Association of America... "if you cannot breathe, nothing else matters."

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy

Our pediatrician speech therapists assess and treat communication skills, speech/speaking, oral engine strength (mouth muscle), speech and nutritional abilities, feeding, chewing security, and swallowing abilities in a safe diet. In order to encourage children to interest themselves and to build new skills for their growth, safety, comfort, success, and independence, we use activities based on play, developmental age, and treatment-based strategy.

Transportation

Transportation

Kids Miracle Steps provides our parents and guardians with skilled medical transport services from and to our centers.

During your trip, our nursing staff members will accompany your children. Each of our transporters is also specially fitted to ensure that your child is safe and comfortable on its route.

Educational Learning Program

Educational Learning Program

Kids Miracle Steps believes in the importance of education as part of your child’s growth and development. Our exceptional educational learning program is child-centered and developmentally appropriate that emphasizes individual growth and prepares children for further education. The programs are taught in a loving, supportive, and sensitive environment allowing children to address issues of trust, self-esteem, and independence. We have teaching staff to facilitate such programs.

Each child is different and has different levels of growth and development. This is why we believe that together, both at home and in school, we can help children engage and enrich their lives to prepare them for the future.

Besides learning programs, we also offer therapies and transportation services.
