What's a PPEC?
PPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. PPEC Centers are innovative nursing services and support for children with medical complexities. It is a dependable and safe alternative to home care nursing with a combined team of experienced caregivers and registered nurses.
PPEC does not only support your child’s medical needs but also their social, educational, and developmental needs to hone independence in their communities. The suggested hours are a maximum of 12 hours a day but it varies depending on each child and determined by a physician.
Here at Kids Miracle Steps, we offer a stimulating, social, and nurturing environment for families and their children to continue receiving medical care in a non-residential setting. Our services include meeting the recipient’s physiological, developmental, nutritional, and social needs at a less restrictive, cost-effective level.
We are assisted by multilingual and multicultural qualified professionals of pediatric nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants working together onsite to provide Physical, Occupational, Speech, ABA, and Respiratory therapies. Furthermore, we are licensed by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and meet all the local, county, and state regulations to ensure quality care.

Care Coordination
For us, the welfare of your child is paramount. Our objective is to strengthen children's communication and coordination. In order that our care team is proactive in the planning, communication, and intervention of children and family, we regularly convene interdisciplinary meetings.
Improved communication between the physician, nurse, case manager, and other patient care team members (e.g., speech, physical and occupational therapy; pharmacy).
Increase communication and cooperation with the patient and family, therefore improving their care satisfaction.
Educational Learning Program
Kids Miracle Steps believes in the importance of education as part of your child’s growth and development. Our exceptional educational learning program is child-centered and developmentally appropriate that emphasizes individual growth and prepares children for further education. The programs are taught in a loving, supportive, and sensitive environment allowing children to address issues of trust, self-esteem, and independence. We have teaching staff to facilitate such programs.
